Public Comment

Opportunity for general public comment is available at all regular meetings, and comments are also permitted after most action items unless otherwise noted. All meetings are open to the public.

Regular Meetings

  • 6 pm
  • 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of every month
  • City Hall
    10210 E Sprague Avenue
    Council Chambers
    Spokane Valley, WA 99206

Regular meetings are those that include opportunity for general public comment, and where Council routinely considers action on items of business, such as passing an ordinance or resolution, or approving appointments and contracts. These meetings are conducted in a formal meeting format. In addition to the opportunity for general public comment, Community members will have the opportunity to comment on any action item on the agenda as council considers that item.

Study Sessions

  • 6 pm
  • 1st, 3rd, and 5th Tuesdays of every month
  • City Hall
    10210 E Sprague Avenue
    Council Chambers
    Spokane Valley, WA 99206

Study sessions allow opportunity for Council and staff to review details and options regarding various items of business that will be brought to Council for their action at later meetings. Study sessions are conducted in a more informal meeting format and do not typically include items for action by the Council, nor time for general public comment. If action items are added to the agenda, an opportunity for public comment will be included just for those specific items.

Special Meetings/Workshops

  • Meets as needed
  • City Hall
    10210 E Sprague Avenue

Periodically, the Council holds special meetings/workshops outside of their regular Tuesday meeting schedule. These meetings will be publicly noticed as required by law.

Executive Sessions

  • Meets as needed

    Council Chambers
