Preliminary Alteration
A preliminary alteration is a request to modify a preliminary approved short subdivision, long subdivision or binding site plan. The alteration proposed may be minor (eg; retain building from being demolished or move lot lines) or a major alteration may be adding lots or a lot reconfiguration. Minor alterations may be processed administratively.
A pre-application meeting is recommended to discuss your proposal before a formal alteration application is submitted. You may request a waiver from the Community Development Director of the formal process if the alteration would not have a substantial impact on adjacent properties and/or conditions of approval.
The Director must determine that the public use and interest will be served by the alteration. You may find the requirements for a preliminary alteration in the Spokane Valley Municipal Code (SVMC) Chapter 20.50.
